Britney Spears is definitely a fashion icon. That young ladies knows how to dress, and how to entertain.
Her latest tour, Circus provides its audiences not only with the hottest fashion wear but some tip top entertainment too.
Her school girl outfit in Baby One More Time was hot, but her latest, designer bra and knickers set, is equally going to get hearts pumping.
Having said that it is nice to see her wearing some normal outfits too. Last week she was spotted out shopping wearing a pair of leggings and a t-shirt, to give that girl next door look.

Today is the last day of the Milan fashion show, and what a show it has been! So what have we learnt?
We’re going back in time to the 1970/1980’s with “batwing” sleeves, blousons and micro-minis.
Bling is back and it’s bigger than ever, heavy metals such as pewter, bronze and gold are to make neckpieces and pendants, the bigger the better!
Tasteful transparency has emerged as a top trend, which could easily be achieved with mesh tops.
Grey clouds hang over the show this year as the economic crisis approaches the fashion houses of Italy. “Just Cavalli” Roberto Cavalli’s younger, cheaper fashion line had to pull out of the show after the lines producer “Ittierre” went bust, meaning half of the clothes didn’t turn up! An undeterred Cavalli still took his “tough chic” main line to the show, pictured below.

At a time when we’re trying to count the pennies, Mauboussin, the long-standing French jewelry company (they’ve been around for 180 years) have opened their flagship store in America.
And what a shop. Tiffany might find they have a real competitor on their hands for the first time.
What you’ll get is lots of sparkly, quasi-affordable cocktail rings in cheery, colorful quartz.
Mauboussin’s clever technique is to cater for every marketing, so there’s small, relatively affordable green quartz and morganite gems, in polite pavé settings that come in at $2,090 (just under a grand in British pounds),which we thing would look great with a the long full length cocktail dress.
Or if you’re ready to slash the cash without worrying, there is Trop Fou de Toi — the same, only with larger gems and more romantic obsession - how about adding that little beast to a pair of bow and lace leggings for real eccentricity.
Or, for the true sociopath with all her Ponzi schemes successfully laundered and offshore, there is the Tellement Fou de Toi line rings, that come in at $10,690)!

Small jewel from French class

There’s an interesting article in this weeks Times about the latest cat-walk trends for 2009. Here’s our take on their top 5.
A tailored blazer: if you don’t already own one, buy one. You can wear it with everything, from old peasant tops to this season’s one-shouldered dresses and it will make them look of the moment. In a classic, classy way.
How about some silky pyjama pants? Along with wet look leggings this could be the look of the season. Wear them with a sweaters now, and later on with a strappy bustier top.
Put some colour back in your life - baninsh the gloom, ditch the subtle greys and help brighten up these troubled times.
Flamboyance is also making a comeback - were a top that makes a statement - wet look bustier, a casual kaftan or ruched!
Quirky accessories: Don’t be corporate clone - look for individual statement and rise above the crows. Seek out beautiful drop earrings by lesser known designers, antique clothing boutiques and brick-a-brack stalls. Play fast and loose - embrace your individuality!
